Preston: The Lucky Dip
So to be a little different after receiving CM2007 through the post after winning it in the Stick Cricket competition I thought “How can I choose my team?” To be different I put in a load of teams (128 to be exact Inc. Championship, League 1, League 2, Conference) I also chose the top 6 of Conference North and Conference South and 9 Premiership teams (Not the big guns though).
After much hard work (I went really sad and did a whole tournament thing including deciding teams on the toss of a coin \o/)
I eventually drew Preston out of the pot. I’ve never been them on any management game before so it was an interesting challenge for me.
So I arrive on the first day with a welcome message from the board and instructing me of their ambitions (mid table – play offs) and that I needed to decrease the wages if I want to bring in new players (10k over budget).
My move to combat this was to place Brett Ormerod, Liam Chilvers, Adam Nowland and Patrick Agyemang all up for sale. I had a look around the squad and was pleased to find some very good players the best being Youl Mawene, David Nugent, Neil Mellor and the keeper Andy Lonergan. I looked around the markets seeing if there was anyone I liked the look of, there were some decent loan players available. I wanted to look at the team first up so decided to wait for a friendly or two to decide if I need a new player.
First Friendly of the season was at home to S****horpe United.
Vs S****horpe United (Home, Attendance of 8,288)
I start with what I think is my strongest line up in a 4-4-2 formation with the wingers (Sedgewick and Neal) attacking the full backs, one of the central midfielders (Jarrett) in an attacking role and using the other one as a defensive midfielder (McKenna). The defence consisted of a strong back line of Lonergan GK, Mawene RB, Davidson LB and Hill and O’Neill in the centre of the park.
So on to the match and we scored early in the second half with a good cross from Lewis Neal on the left side edge of the box and he put the ball on a plate for Nugent to convert from 8 yards with the only goal of the game. We didn’t play all that well but they were a tough opposition. Alexander got injured as a substitute and will be out of action for 10 days with a sprained ankle.
I came back to find that Norwich had put in a bid of £400k for Ormerod and Huddersfield had put in a bid of £700k for Nowland, I was delighted and accepted both without hesitating. They moved the next day, I cut £5k per week from the wage bill and made over one million from the sales of both players.
Despite Lewis Neal assisting the goal in our first friendly I felt we needed a new winger in his place to add some flair to our attacking options. I looked around for loan signings and came across a young lad in the Charlton reserves called Myles Weston, I liked what I saw, he had good crossing skills, high passing accuracy and a flair player all round. I made an offer of a season long loan and I would pay 50% of his wages (£800).
We went into our second friendly of the season in high spirits, this time our travels took us to Southport.
Vs Southport (Away, 1,753)
We scored after 40 minutes with Paul McKenna finishing a pass from Sedgewick that the defender really should have cleared. In the second half we had a corner from the left taken by Sedgewick and Neil Mellor gracefully connected by rising above everyone else and finishing coolly from 7 yards. Our final goal of the game was also from a corner this time from the right of which Davidson took due to being left footed. Myles Weston the new winger scored from a header which surprised me as he isn’t known for being good in the air with some of the worst stats in the squad for heading. The game finished 3-0 to the away side and Andy Lonergan the goalie grabbed the Man of the match award.
After we got back I noticed that Mawene was unhappy as he felt he deserved a better salary (Currently on £6,300 a week) I agreed with him but I knew the clubs wage budget was very tight. I originally refused and he wasn’t best pleased, I went back and managed to offer him £7,800 which was £700 less than he wanted, I still await his decision.
Quickly our third friendly came up on our travels again this time down to Rushden & Diamonds.
Vs Rushden & Diamonds (Away, 3,296)
The boys were a little tired from their last friendly 4 days ago so I put Nugent on the bench and gave Dichio a chance, they made me very proud and we put in our best performance yet. It started when Neil Mellor put away a Davidson throw which should’ve got nowhere near the striker but it did and Mellor didn’t need any effort to put it away. Paul McKenna put in a good pass through to Dichio who scored a 30 yard screamer as the keeper stood aimlessly on his 6 yard line. Myles Weston has had a very good start and he’s impressed me, his athleticism confused their defence so much that he won us a penalty. Neil Mellor took control of the situation as he grabbed the ball and put it firmly on the spot. He took his time and eventually put a perfect penalty into the top left corner with the goalie going the right way but not standing a chance of saving it. Rushden then decided to make the game a little interesting when they made it 3-1 with 25 minutes to go. I made lots of changes and changed the whole team giving some fringe players opportunities to impress, Mellor came off to a round of applause and Andy Smith the Northern Ireland international came on in his place. With 10 minutes to got they got a corner we cleared our lines and the ball came to Smith running onto the ball on the half way line ahead of their defenders all he had to do was keep going and finish the one on one with the goalkeeper, did he finish it? Yes he did slotting it under the keepers’ body, with Pugh getting the assist. Neil Mellor for his fine displays in scoring two goals led to him being awarded with the Man of the match award.
A promising start to my new career, stay tuned.

So after plenty of work in trying to get Mawene to sign a new contract which he duly accepted the board stopped it due to going over our wage budget, this is becoming a real annoyance as I can’t bring anyone in. More later…
Our next game saw us go on our travels to Chester.
Vs Chester (Away, 3,182)
We scored in the first minute when poor defending from a Dichio pass let Mellor slot the ball home for one nil! Thirty Seven minutes later Chris Sedgewick got the ball and put in a stunning cross and Mellor was there again to head the ball home for two nil. We went into the half time interval two nil up with everything going to plan…Then it all fell apart, sixty five minutes in Martinez pulled a goal back for Chester, good goal, not too much could have been done about it.. Then in the last minute Wilson brings down their winger in the box and they get a penalty, I’m fuming as they equalise, with no time left in the game to score a winner I wasn’t a happy bunny afterwards. So two all is the final result with Neil Mellor rightly grabbing the Man of the Match award.
Afterwards Hull make a bid of £150k for Brian O’Neil my star centre back, it gets flatly refused without a thought.
We’re of on our travels again as we go down to face League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.
Vs Wycombe Wanderers (Away, 4,289)
I rest Neil Mellor as his condition dips below eighty five. We play our best football of the season in the first half, it started when Sedgewick hit the post after coming in off the wing and Nugent promptly smashed the ball in from 5 yards. I decided to give transfer listed Agyemang a go to see what he can do, Dave Nugent whipped in a ball half way through the half and Agyemang slotted in from 8 yards. Later Agyemang set up Sedgewick after the goalie went a bit AWOL and Patrick found a pass to Sedgewick who was 12 yards out and to the right of the goal he put the ball in just past the goalies flying hands. Finally Dichio rounded off the game when he put a one on one just past the goalie who got a hand to hit but it had enough power to finish the scoring at four. Lonergan got Man of the match as we won 4-0.
Earlier on in the season I tried to sign Evanilson for the Right back position, he has just accepted and has been given a work permit but yet again the board block it. So I place Alexander on the list to try to raise some funds! So frustrating.

Hibs and Rotherham both make £110k bids for transfer listed right back Graham Alexander, I accept both but Graham chooses to go to Rotherham.
Our final friendly was at home to Brentford.
Vs Brentford (H, 4,827)
Neil Mellor continues his excellent form scoring from a Paul McKenna cross from the left wing. 18 minutes later he made it 2-0 when he headed in a Jarrett free kick. 2 minutes before half time there is an altercation on the pitch, to my horror Brian O’Neil is sent off (My best centre back). We got to half time still 2-0 in front. So we started the second half off and we were doing okay for about 7 minutes until they got a goal back through a penalty. 2-1 with 40 minutes to go plus we had only 10 men, it was going to be a hard task to win this, maybe to even draw it. Low and behold, to my utter disbelief we utterly self destructed and we conceded 3 goals in the next 25 minutes. We lost 4-2 when the ref put an end to our miserable show.
Due to his sending off Brian O’Neil will miss the first league game of the season at Wolves. There have been several loan offers for my 2nd choice keeper Carlo Nash, I’ve chosen to accept them as I have adequate cover I feel in my reserves. The club receives £250K in TV rights money, which helps our finances a bit. We are around £2 Million in the green so all is well on that front. It comes the first of the month and I get news of a monthly board meeting who say they are delighted with the clubs finances (one of my objectives was to get it clean), I go and look at our finances page and fantastic news I get the wage budget increased by £25K per week. So Dichio’s new deal goes through and Evanilson’s transfer is accepted, which is great news as it strengthens my defence. Hopefully Mawene’s new deal will go through too.
Right our first league game of the season was a very hard game, we travel down to the midlands to play Wolves on their home turf.
Vs Wolves (A, 13,290) O’Neil is suspended.
Not a lot happens in the first 40 minutes as both sides equal each other out, with only a couple of shots from both sets of strikers. To my disbelief we get a player sent off for a second game running, this time McKenna is sent off for a tackle from behind. 10 men away from home? I thought we were in for a drubbing. Unfortunately I was right, they destroyed our defence despite playing 5-3-1 from the red card incident to hold out for a draw. They went on to score a massive 4 goals in the second half to leave me red faced and swearing left, right and centre.
Due to the poor game I show my discontent to 4 players in the after game team talks, all came back acknowledging their poor showing.

Some good stuff, As you can probably tell from my name I'm a wolves fan through and through so It was excellent to here about the hammering they gave you, Shame it wasn't with 11 men on the park for your team. I took a look at the loan signing you got from Charlton on your photobucket, He looks quite good and as he is young I have a feeling he could develope into a great player, You should try get him on a permanent bases when his loan is about to run out.
Good luck for the rest of the game.

Thanks and stick around the forums, Wolves fans are a rarity in these parts.
So finally the 30 year old Brazilian who has 13 caps for his country joins permanently, he fits in well to the back four and adds good depth to the right side of the attack, as well as being good at throw ins he is very much an attacking wing back.
After our terrible 4-0 away defeat at Wolves we face a tough midweek game at home to Southampton.
Vs Southampton (H, 20,401)
Evanilson starts despite lacking in match fitness, but he has a good game and after 30 minutes a throw in taken by Evanilson reaches Weston in the middle of the goal about 25 yards out, Weston takes a strike and scores a fabulous goal. For the nest hour of the game there was a flow of possession between the home and away sides. But we countered their attacking with solid defending, especially by Mawene. The last several minutes are nail biting as they have a few chances but we keep them out and when the whistle blows there’s a huge relief in my head and in the fans. Mawene gets the Man of the match award for a very good performance at the back of the defence.
To comeback from the 4-0 drubbing by Wolves we did really well, the result gets me a thumbs up from the board members
Carlo Nash rejects a half a dozen clubs before accepting Leeds offer and joining them for the whole season. I find that despite a win I need a Defensive midfielder as the midfielders we have aren’t up to the challenge. I scour the lists looking for someone appropriate, I noticed Salif Diao was listed by Liverpool. I make a bid of £500k which of yet has received no answer.
With our 3rd game in a week on the horizon we set off on a long journey south to play Plymouth.
Vs Plymouth (A, 14,329)
Evanilson is rested for this game but sits on the bench. In the 5th minute we take the lead when Myles Weston does really well to get past the right back and put a cross into the box from deep, David Nugent came in unmarked to head home from 7 yards, fantastic start. We are really put under the cosh straight away, for the rest of the game in fact, but we defended really well until the 75th minute when they scored on the counter attack, from the left a ball game in and Buzsaky equalised from 13 yards. We fight and manage to keep it to a draw. We were disappointing and only troubled them when we scored. But a point away from home is okay.
After 3 games and having a result of each in each game unsurprisingly we sit mid table, 14th to be precise. Our potency in front of goal and creating chances is a bit worrying at the moment.

As the transfer window is due to close within a couple of weeks I and my squad are involved in plenty of dealings, I tried to sign Salif Diao he accepted me offer and his work permit application was accepted but the board cancelled the deal because we didn’t have enough funds, this was due to monthly instalments after the initial lump sum of £800K. Needless to say it was disappointing, I soon got distracted by the league game involving Colchester at Deepdale.
Vs Colchester (H, 19,732)
I decided to play my experienced Scottish player Brian O’Neil in the holding role today, Evanilson starts also.
The 13th minute might be unlucky for some but not for us today as Jason Jarrett finds a good through pass to Neil Mellor who scores from 25 yards to take it to 1-0 in the opening stages. 6 minutes later Jamie Guy got through one on one with Lonergan and he chipped him to make it 1-1. Myles Weston was starting to influence the game the way he can and he did with 24 minutes gone we switched to his right foot on the left wing and put a ball into the box from just outside the corner of the box itself, there was Neil Mellor to emphatically finish once again, 2-1. Soon after Chris Sedgewick went down after a strong mid air challenge, he is replaced by Kevin Wilson. With 7 minutes to go to half time we were pilling on the pressure, as Myles Weston broke down the left wing he put in a perfect arcing ball and Mellor thirsty for his hat-trick heads the ball into the net, he receives a good standing ovation from the fans and the coaching staff (myself included). The second half was a solid performance at the back, we created as many chances but couldn’t penetrate their net again in the second half. Neil Mellor unsurprisingly got the Man of the Match award for his first hat-trick for the club. Brian O’Neil in his new role, Jason Jarrett and Youl Mawene all had very good games too.
Back to the transfers and I decide to bid for a young Scot on the Transfer list called Calum Elliot from Hearts, I put in a £850K bid and Hearts accept, unfortunately Calum didn’t want a move despite a generous contract offer. Liam Chilvers my transfer listed Left Back of whom I received a £85k bid from Donny, I accepted and he couldn’t be happier to leave. I also got a bid of £180k from Carlisle for my Northern Irish striker Andy Smith, he accepted and is set to move within the next day or two.

We were drawn against Derby at home in the League Cup first round.
Vs Derby (H, 10,747)
We concede an early free kick just outside the edge of the box, Bisgaard scored direct from the resulting free kick, 1-0 down early on, not a good sign. Jason Jarrett found himself 25 yards out and knowing he had the managers blessing for him to shoot from long range and he did, luckily for Jason, Bywater (Derby keeper) fumbled the ball and we levelled the game at 1-1 after the half hour mark. Weston makes a cracking run down the left flank and is assisted by Nugent who takes the ball from Weston and delivers the ball into the box, Mellor controls the ball and volleys on his right foot to make it 2-1. With only 20 minutes to go David Nugent broke down the right wing and whipped the ball in, it took a huge deflection of the right back and loops up hopelessly over the whole of the Derby defence, Mellor came running onto it to score a fantastic diving header to finish the game of at 3-1 and we go through to the second round where we might be drawn against a Premiership team. Neil Mellor got the Man of the Match award for his brace of goals which helped us win the game.
After the game we heard the news that we were drawn at home to Premiership side Charlton.
We received a bid for Youl Mawene from Marseille for £1.5 Million, I decline the offer and put in a new contract for Youl as the last one stuttered somewhat, Youl gratefully accepted which was good news for Preston as his prior contract expired at the conclusion of the current season. Rumours that Nott County wanted to sign Neil McCormack soon arose and not long after they made a bid of £325k for the man valued at £220k, I accept the offer for the 22 year old Irishman. Neil agrees the contract put on offer and is moved to total the money made on players sold to £1.5 Million under my regime.
We didn’t play in the Saturday fixtures this time we played at noon on Sunday on our travels down to Southend in Essex.
Vs Southend (A, 7,891)
I played Evanilson on the right side of midfield as Sedgewick was still out for a month longer with his fractured collarbone. The chance paid off as he broke past the left back and put in a perfect arcing right footed cross which Mellor headed home to make 1-0 after 17 minutes. 6 minutes before half time Neil Mellor broke away from the defence and was one on one with the keeper just before he got to the box Peter Clarke brought him down, I was livid as he clearly denied a goal scoring opportunity, the referee agreed with me and gave him a straight red. Davidson took the free kick and it whistled just past the post. We had a corner half way through the second half and Davidson delivered the ball but it came straight back to him, he found a beautifully weighted pass to Jarrett on the edge of the box who sent a curler past the hapless keeper to make it 2-0! After another attack the ball was cleared and came back to defender Matt Hill who saw Myles Weston in miles of room on the left flank and he found the perfect pass, Weston was on his own would he shoot or would he cross? He shot and what a goal it was dipping into the far corner from the corner of the box itself, a beautiful goal he deserved that one. I brought Dichio on for Mellor who had got a slight knock, Dichio was hungry like a tiger and his prowess proved vital when he pressured their defence into committing another error and he ran with it for 10 yards and struck from the D-line and scored past the keeper to make it 4-0, what an emphatic away performance. Davidson received the Man of the Match award but to be honest any of the 11 players could’ve won it, as everyone performed.
Evanilson after the game told me he was disappointed to have been played out of position, I told the 32 year old he would be playing in his normal position in the next game as I didn’t want to created hardship in a team I’ve worked hard to get rid of the rubbish. The league win leapt us up to 5th with 10 points from 5 games.

As it’s coming to the end of the transfer I scour the markets thinking “Do I need any other positions covered or filled?” I still worry about the holding role, O’Neil has arguably been our best player since he’s gone there but I’d prefer him at the back with Mawene. I decided to make another offer of £1.1 Million for Salif Diao and at the same time Everton make a bid but £100k less than mine. Diao accepts my offer to my surprise and terms are agreed but due to him needing a work permit the deal is completed the day after the deadline so he will join on the 1st January.
We had another hard game (they’re coming thick and fast) on our travels down to the Midlands to play West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Vs West Brom (A, 24,949)
Things don’t start well when John Hartson scores in the 9th minute, they get even worse just before the half hour mark when Jason Ellington makes it 2-0 and we’ve barely threatened their goal, this was heading a proper beating against us. Nothing happens up till half time and I give them some Stilwell anger. This seems to do nothing as we don’t score but put in a slightly better 2nd half performance, and after 80 minutes Matt Hill scores from a Lewis Neal cross after Calum Davidson passed it to him short from the corner. 2-1 a sniff of a point makes me change to 3-4-3 with Hill going up top for some aerial prowess, this does no good at all as Ellington and Hartson score again, the game ends 4-1 with Hill the only notable performance, a tough game but I did expect better.
4-1 (Hartson 2, Ellington 2; Hill
With no midweek game I gave Nugent a break from training for 3 days as he was quite tired and I can’t afford for him to get injured this season. A midweek of little news to report bar a couple of injured players recovering in the reserves, Sedgewick still 3 weeks away from fitness, a tough home game awaits as another midlands team plays Preston this time at Deepdale and the visitors are the big boys Birmingham City.
Vs Birmingham (H, 14,414)
After 9 minutes some beautiful work by Mellor created an opening for Nugent and Mellor found him after a slick pass and Nugent finishes comfortably to make it 1-0 early on. Lonergan is making numerous saves particularly from one-on-one situations to help keep our lead, thanks to him we lead 1-0 at the interval. Shortly after Mellor is fouled outside the box, Davidson steps up to take the free kick which is just to the right of the goal about 25 yards out, he hits a thunderbolt and the 5 man wall can do nothing about it. But disaster 10 minutes later when Damien Johnson equalises from a cross from the left. We fight for the 3 points for a further 23 minutes, using a more defensive 4-5-1 with Mellor as the lone striker, in the 87th minute Jerome breaks free and breaks over ten thousand Preston fans hearts as we only take away 1 point from this hard home fixture. Nugent is given the man of the match award for his stunning performance at the head of the attack, the players knew of my dismay after the game as I told them draws don’t win pats on the back from me. I praise Evanilson and Nugent as they both show the other players how it’s done.
2-2 (Nugent, Davidson; Johnson, Jerome)

I felt I could improve the squad more if I hired another coach, so I decided to go for the inexperience of Paul Merson, hopefully he can lift the team to a new level.
We face two away games in 3 days, first we go to the Stadium of Light then we go to the Valley in the 2nd round of the League Cup.
Vs Sunderland (A, 19,187)
Simon Whaley the man deputising for the injured Chris Sedgewick is doing very well and he continued this early on as he scored in the 2nd minute to give us an important away lead. He just couldn’t stop running and ran through several defenders (with a few lucky deflections along the way) and ended up 15 yards out and put the ball into the top corner. Half way through the half they got clear of the defence and where on there way to having a one on one with the keeper, Davidson brought down the striker around 40 yards out, to my amazement he was sent off as he was deemed the last man. Delap got an equaliser in the second half from a corner, a strong header of which we had a very small chance of stopping. David Nugent won the ball back after a sloppy back pass he managed to get the ball to Mellor who scored again to make it 2-1 with 20 minutes left. It looks like we are going to get an away win with only ten men but as a cross comes in from the right David Connolly equalises to give a point each, I was utterly pissed off.
2-2 – Delap, Connolly; Whaley, Mellor
With only a couple of days till our trip down to the capital no news worthy of reporting came up.
Vs Charlton (A, 13,084 League Cup 2nd Round)
I rested a couple of players, Mellor was replaced by Dichio as the notable change. What a game for the neutral this turned out to be. Darren Bent scored after 3 minutes and I thought “Here we go”, Whaley equalised after the half hour mark with a strike into the bottom corner. 6 minutes later Bent was brought down in the box by O’Neil who got sent off, Ambrose converted the penalty to make it 2-1. 3 minutes later some pressure in the box led to a shot by Jarrett deflecting in off of El Karkouri to make it 2-2. Then to top off an entertaining half Andy Reid scored a free kick 2 minutes before the interval, Bent scored a second just after half time and then completed his hat trick half way through the second half, Charlton’s quality was showing through as we were down to 10 men, the best player for Preston was Danny Dichio who got his goal in the last minute of the game as he converted a one on one with the keeper.
5-3: Bent 3, Ambrose, Reid; Whaley, El Karkouri (OG), Dichio.

As stated..........
With back to back home games in 4 days of each other I decided to rest some players from training, notably the players at the front of the attack
Vs Leicester (H, 13,882)
We get a free kick after 26 minute in a wide right position not far from the sideline near the corner flag, Simon Whaley whips in a good ball and Weston heads on for Jarrett to score and give us a 1-0 lead. 3 minutes later Fryatt equalises after some sloppy defending, then a minute later he takes the lead with a solid finish from the edge of the box. Then with 5 minutes to go we allow Williams to run the length of the field and score to make it 3-1 going into half time. I bring on 18 year old Joe Anyinsah for his first appearance of the season. He shows electrifying pace and with 15 minutes to go he puts in a cross and Agyemang scores, we constantly push for the last 15 minutes trying to get a point out of this game. Then with just 2 minutes left Pugh does a short corner to Anyinsah who puts in a superb ball and the right back Evanilson scores to make it 3-3!
3-3: Jarrett, Agyemang, Evanilson; Fryatt 2, Williams.
Vs Burnley (H, 17,730)
In a game we’re expected to win we get a bad start as after 19 minutes Jones scores for the away side. We reply quickly though as Agyemang heads a long ball on to Mellor and he slots the ball under the keeper’s body. Andy Gray quickly puts Burnley back in front in a goalmouth scrap. Weston breaks down the left wing and runs 60 yards before striking the ball firmly into the net off of the near post.. Elliot gives them the lead back again in a chaotic first half but to cap it off Mawene heads in a Hill corner to make it 3-3 going into the break.
The game goes quiet for all of 20 minutes after 13 chaotic minutes in the first half, but then Agyemang scores as Evanilson swaps wings and supplies a beautiful cross from the left for Agyemang to tap home. Lewis Neal comes on for a tired Myles Weston and he supplies the final goal of the game with a good cross into the near post and Agyemang just beats the keeper. Agyemang gets MOM for his hat-trick.
5-3: Agyemang 3, Mellor, Weston; Jones, Gray, Elliot.
With our final game of the month away at Stoke I rest some of the players from training so to keep them fresh, Davidson returns from his 3 game ban for this fixture.
Vs Stoke (A, 9,128)
A fantastic start to the game as after 11 minutes Jason Jarrett scores after a powerful bursting run from midfield. This is a very quiet game compared to the last several as only one more goal is scored throughout the whole game. We came close to scoring s second before half time when firstly Agyemang hits the ball from a corner by Davidson then just a few minutes’ later Weston puts over the bar from 7 yards. 15 minutes into the second half Luke Chadwick equalises for Stoke.
1-1 : Jarrett;Chadwick
After the game we are 9th in the table after 11 games with a goal difference of plus two.

Sorry guys but I'm stopping this story, just seems to be sapping the enjoyment of playing the game out of it.

Ah, that's a shame :(
Hopefully, the mods will keep it open so if you do want to ever go back to it you can
Good story though

I never close stories unless they really degenerate. They should be open, merged into the story in one post thread or deleted. :)

Change of mind, I will update my game/story but it won't be as detailed as before.
I played Norwich away and got battered 3-0 with a trully terrible performance. Matt Hill got sent off for hacking down one of their strikers (he had a French name :D and that's all I remember), Stock played for the first time since his return from his loan spell.
I then had a home game against the shocking Barnsley who had 3 points out of their last 10 games.
We thumped them well and trully with a six-nil battering. Myles Weston scored a hat-trick which surprised me as his shooting accuracy is under a third. Sedgewick scored 1 and assisted 2, Jarrett assisted 2 also. Mellor and a Mawene header from a corner were the other 2 scorers.
11th in the league with 21 points.
So many goals in the league with the least throughout all their games being Birmingham who have scored 21 and conceded 8 from 14 games, the most being Southend who have scored 16 and conceded 46 in their 14 games. The table doesn't look odd in terms of who is where, but the ammount of goals is ridiculous.

Maybe a problem with the game, about the goals amount.

Aye, CM07s biggest flaw, who knows what'll happen with the patch and maybe it'll be rectified.
