Jeremy Pearce wishes to welcome you to West Brom
Two months since hitting early retirement and telling the world that I wanted to take a break with my family and rebuild my failing marriage and already i've signed a contract as manager of West Bromwich Albion.
My first real taste of management. Sure the assistant's job at Cardiff when I was still playing was a taste of the coaching side but this was the first time I was diving into management properly.
After deciding that the baggies were the team for me JP sent me a really informal e-mail welcoming me to the club that had held most of playing career.
"All of us at West Bromwich Albion wish to welcome you and state our belief that we have chosen the right candidate to take the helm here at the Hawthorns. We know that..."
Well you get the picture.
He basically outlined that the board and fans both expected a promotion this season and a cup run in at least one of the two domestic trophies.
He also told me that I had been generously been given 14 million pounds to spend on players and 240k to entice them with the wage budget.

My first task was to bring back Tomasz Kuszczak. I ended the loan agreement with Manchester United to get him back into my squad where he shall be until next season when a free transfer has already been agreed to take him back to Old Trafford.
Noticing this and a few other discrepences within my side, I decided that my aims for this transfer window were to:
 Bring another young quality goalkeeper in
 Get a young, strong goalscorer
 Lose some of the poor players

CAMERON JEROME WANTED BY BAGGIES
West Bromwich Albion today confirmed their interest in Birmingham City's Cameron Jerome, claiming that they had made an enquiry to buy him.
Talking in a press conference, new manager Rob Aldridge outlined his need for a young, strong striker to play the role of John Hartson when the welshman decides to call it a day.
Maybe the fact that Cameron would be playing second fiddle to the ageing Hartson would be the decider in him staying put at Birmingham City.
LOAN OFFER MADE FOR YOUNG GOALY
On the same day as West Bromwich ALbion calim interest in Cameron Jerome they have also came out and openly said that Scott Carson, of Liverpool, would be the ideal answer to their problem in goal.
A loan offer is said to have been made, with a permanent move not being ruled out for the England under-21.
Carson would be coming into a squad already containing 4 goalkeepers.
Luke Steele, formerly of Manchester United, Russell Hoult, Tomas Kuszczak who is heading to Man Utd next season and Pascal Zuberbuhler who is reportedly being shipped out of the Hawthorns
BID ACCEPTED FOR MIDFIELDER
A 2.8 million bid from Middlesborough for West Brom center midfielder Darren Carter has been reportedly accepted by the midlands club. The move would see Gareth Southgate's revolution at Middlesborough start in promising fashion.

A thoroughly enjoyable game from the neutral perspective and also for West Brom fans who saw their side romp home to a convincing 4-1 victory over their midland rivals.
A solitary goal from Gera on 19 minutes gave the stripes the lead at half time and goals in the second half from half time substitute Hartson on 47 minutes, Koumas on 67 minutes and another from man of the match Gera on 81 minutes sealed a victory which showed why West Brom were the championship side.
A consolation goal from constable on 63 minutes was the only thing Walsall had to hold onto in a rather dull performance by their standards.

A performance not to be proud of from the promising Championship side, but a glimmer of hope for the premiership side tipped to drop before the season has started.

Henderson then put the game past the Baggies on 51 minutes. Quashie gave the baggies a glimmer of hope on 53 minutes before Henderson made the deficit three once more.
