Just listening to the podcast now - didn't realise the news about Home Leagues wasn't clear (sorry)

To clarify - Home Leagues ARE in CM09 out in April 2009


What the hell is the point in this, the season only as 1 month left and they want us to buy the game????????? when cm2010 which will more than lightly be out in the october or november the same year they expect us to buy that as well, me thinks somebody is taking the mick outta the fan's of this game. i'm so dissapionted with this why is it taken so long they have had almost 2 so this game better be outta this world or they could be cutting there throats, which almost happened with cm4 and 5, i feel sorry for the 10s of thounds of fans of the game that go out year in and year out and put there money into the pockets of these ppl and keep them in jobs, i my self have every game since cm3

Mainly coz when we start out season other clubs in the real world start to transfer so all the teams and players would be wrong simple as ! its just not professional .. and this year on a whole is a big dissapointment in my eyes from BGS .. they were soo good last year getting CM2008 coming out in 2007 .. and buy the looks of things CM2009 will be coming out in april 2009 ! thats 2 years the fans have been waiting around for a new CM .. plz guys make next year a bit more organized !

Thats no different to the game being released in november/december...as soon as January comes "all the teams and players would be wrong simple as !". BGS have said they will be releasing a data update to reflect summer transfers.

To be honest - though i'm very dissapointed that the game won't be released until April i do feel confident that it will be worth it. I have preferred the FM game of late but it has become far to over complicated which is why i'm keeping an eye on CM09.
I remember reading on these forums after CM08 a person saying BGS should take a year off in order to get the game right. Loooking at the screenshots and the info that is available it really does look like the extended realease will benifit us.
For once CM looks like it can compete with FM and hopefully WITHOUT the complications!

They are releasing it for all the right reasons, people will buy fm and within a month it will be out of date. Very dull for me too. And I can't see much diference this season apart from the 3D engine, which is causing loads of trouble for many people who supposedto be inside the hardware requirements.

It is just a demo though.

Patience is a virtue, but can't help feeling the people that are calling for the game out for christmas also play the games on the fastest speed and rush through the seasons.

It is hard to understand why people wont wait and are upset about lack of update, as the updates make you start the game again from 2008 (would have been for this game) if i am not mistaken, sorry if i am, but if it does, would you not instantly go about changing the squads to fit your play, for example buying lindfield and anderson instantly for your ultimate chelsea team and selling on players you didn't want your team to sign anyway?
Sorry if i am confusing or mistaken for my idea of updates as i have never used them.

Yes ppl are moaning about it comming out so late and its understandable why, I can also see why some ppl would rather the wait. I downloaded FM manager at 10.09 this morning as i have taken a few days off work, Its now 10.31 and its been uninstalled!Its s**t. I have never even played on it before and can tell you i wont be playing on it again as its like a cheap version of cm. So for the person who said he's going to buy FM do ur self a faver and save your money and take ur misses out or if you dont have 1 then i suggest you go buy the new xfactor single! But the facts are there for all to see: Roy feels that an 18 month development schedule will make the game a lot better than the previous versions. And from the screenshots shown to us, it is worth the wait. So what if it will be coming out April next year. I don't know about you, but I think that it is worth waiting for. Plus, when CM comes out, there might be even more people wanting to buy CM because when April comes, people who bought FM would get really tired of FM and try out CM. It's a market plan, and I think that it is short-term pain, but long-term gain.

I never understood this whining.

BGS have a vision in mind as to what they want CM2009 to be. From the sound of it there are some pretty amazing changes coming our way, so BGS have had a boatload of work to do.

The time it takes to complete these changes is until April 2009. If they could complete those changes and release the game in the next month, they would, it just can't be done.

So they had a choice. Impliment half (or less) of the changes they planned and release it now, leaving the game about half done from what they wanted, or go ahead and complete ALL the changes they wanted and release the game when it's actually finished.

If BGS can give us one hell of a game, but it takes until April 2009 to complete, then I say go for it! I'd rather that than them release a game they don't consider "finished" now.

So stop whining ffs.

first of all
u have to be thankful, thaT BGS are trying to release a game with maximum features, this require works, and i will be more than happy to pay extra to give those guy in DEV a gesture of thanks for what they did.
i played FM SI game, and 3d look horrible, AI look stupid, as it was designed for 2D,
and many called new FM SI only a patch as the 3d didn't work for them. and #worst it made old 2D work bad.

so BGS wanted to respect u as a costumer, and isntead u just hit on them !!

i play with FIFAM, and at FIFAM 07 they released extra version, in march, and i bought it too.
for 2 rasion, the game is better, the whole game cost like 2 pizza !!
and i play with the game the whole year, finantialy i don't see any problem.
in fact i think BGS should be rewarded for trying to not producing half good game but to respect more than any games full of bugs like FIFAM and FM SI did this year.
instead u hit on them to do that??

yeh but think about it it is gonna be good for us customers yes we have to wait longer for the game but think about it logically they will have spent more time on the game= more beta testing to eliminate the bugs, will be able to add more things into the game!...

i can understand where people are complaining about the release date but would you rather have a another cm8 situation, bugged to hell releasing a patch and not fully fixing the game or to delay the game sort out the bugs and add more things into the game making the Cm series stronger and better and better.

For me this is a bold move and shows that they are a forawrd thinking company and wanting to improve the future of the brand cm rather than EA just rushing out sequel after sequel bugged to hell.. No matter what BGS did they can never satisfy all gamers, just think how much it costs as well compared to a brand new xbox 360 game or PS3.


This way it will save BGS having to do a bugs patch and a january transfer window patch together and would just have to do a january/ start of season transfer patch instead.

so for me it is a big thumbs up what BGS are doing, yes it is frustrating nort being able to play the new cm till a month or so before the end of the season but in the long term of cm it will improve and inhance cm rather than fm which is just another update after update patch for me, FM are only thinking short term while BGS are thinking long term..

take Ea they DONT listen to the fans they just interested in getting the cash, Ea's motto is rush out a game patch it up later unlike BGS.

From the cm games that they have made they have got better and better and they have listened to the fans.... they know what they are doing. people are already slagging off the game before it is finished, 1st off how the hell can you slag off a game in progress and 2nd SHUT UP MOANING its getting boring, if you dont like it simple you have 2 options, carry on playing cm8 knowing that cm09 is going to be the best ever footie management game ever or 2 dont play it quit moaning dont buy cm09 and play the far less superior fm game, delete your account off this board and go slag off cm on the fm boards as it shows you are not true cm fans as if you were you would know that BGS know what they are doing with this release date they know what they are doing is going to blow fm and any other football manager away with cm09.
