Why do you say Real Madrid?

Like its been said in another thread attackers dont win you the league. They need defenders also.

I will say Real Madrid but also Arsenal, Man UTD, Barcelona AC Milan, Inter Milan, Chelsea.

Also I think teams Like Cardiff City, Preston ect will be fun

Real Madrid will be a good shout. Especially now they have Kaka and most likely Ronaldo in the next few days.

Man City should be a good team to get used to the new game with. Loads of money to splash on potential stars, not one of the big guns, but it should be fun building a totally new team and challenging for the title.

i don't agree with man city, hopefully there will be a team chemistry attribute and man citys will be very low.

Real Madrid. They must have alot of monet if they can fork out 80m and 50m on two players.

Really? I would never have thought Real Madrid to be the type of team to have a bit of money! Haha.

I always enjoy going as a league one team, and then winning the league one trophy, championship trophy and then the premier league trophy in three consecutive seasons. Makes me realise how difficult the game is :P

i reckon a lot of people will want to try newcastle and bring them into the prem and europe etc.

is it portsmouth who now have the mega rich owner? that might entice a fair few.

Its not suprising when Real Madrid earn over 400mill euro a year

I think barca will be the best, but any team i will be taking over will undergo a massive change to create my own sort of barca style footy.

I doubt Real will be the team that's playing next season. After all, this is CM09, for the 2008/09 season. Which means Ronaldo will be at Man Utd and Kak will be at AC MIlan, I'd've thought.

No your wrong. :)

The players will be updated upto the release date. E.g if the game is out on 20.10.09 (just as an example) then I'm guessing it will be updated until about 10.10.09

A few of teams I've found interesting to play as during our in-house testing:
Napoli - good transfer budget, plus a couple of young gems (Lavezzi, Hamsik).
Valencia - great squad, but financial problems, leads to a different kind of challenge.
Huddersfield - new owners, decent finances, and a big stadium = lots of potential. Come on Town!

Had a good PSG save on CM08, so I'll be looking at them again.

And Notts County - will be interesting to see how the real life take over affects the club and how that is reflected in the game.

I Dont think Real Madrid Will be one of the richest.

In older games if they spent alot during the summer then they would have a ridiculous budget but i think in newer games if they've spent a lot like Real Madrid have they will only start with £5-£15 million after splashing out on Kaka, Ronaldo and probably Ribery etc.

We'll see though

Some of the guys in the studio were eager to get posting, and it's a bit easier now that we've announced stuff so they can actually talk about their areas of the game!

Dev blogs should be available very soon also :)

dont see much of a challenge with a top team thats loaded with cash already got a great team thats been there done it.
id be bored after a few hours of buying whom i like and winning all the time i want a lasting challenge.
id perfer a lower league team and work my way up through the leagues
thinking of turo town think there in the new league added this year
but thats my choice and why theres so many leagues to chose from :)

your not alone mate
my choice too :D

and you learn more in the process by time you are reaching top teamd, you already mastered the game ;) .. a reflection of life for real managers .. taste better

even after wining i set more challenges like wining with no foreign players in the squad or with average age of 22-23 .. options are unlimited if you are bored :D

anyway the more we reach that point the more unrealistic it gonna be .. so it is better to start from lower sides which gonna delay us getting that point so soon

Although playing with a big club is fun, the satisfaction is higher when you start playing with a small, poor team and through your efforts you promote them and you win throphies :D

They will need a complete overhaul
I would imagine Crewe would be a good one ?
They don't belong in LG2 and they might not get straight back up mind you.

Maybe so. I'm looking forward to managing some of the lower Prem/upper Champ clubs. Hull, Stoke, Middlesborough, West Brom, Sunderland, Etc. Challenging to keep them in the Prem instead of up and down and up and down etc.

I'm ALWAYS Arsenal for my 1st save on a new CM, because, 1) I'm a gooner, and 2) So I can find my feet with the new game/features/players with a decent team before taking on a challenge...

Joe, I will give you a clue that one of the two challenges will invole being a Premiership club, so you can get to know the game better and get used to signing certain players.

It's probably bad form to quote yourself, but just thought I'd add another recommendation: Parma.
They've not a great deal to spend, and there are no mugs in Serie A, so it's a challenge. But, they have some great attacking players, so you can really go for it.
Also, they have one of the sweetest kits! Now, this wasn't a big deal in CM08, but for this version we've got much better looking kits. In fact, for the playthroughs I've got going on the laptop beside me, I've been leaning towards clubs with lively kits. (Parma, and Partick Thistle currently).
