I just want to ask if the different managers uses different tactics and if some AI managers (Wenger) are prone to buying young talent as opposed to others (Anchelotti) and soforth. Also how active you have gotten the AI overall on transfer market so that the AI teams actually tries to improve its teams every season so that the game as opposed to other manager games until now remains challenging..
If you get those things right you can slip up with other aspects like player valuation and club reputation cuz then its challenging anyways cuz the AI is as good as you:-)

Yes AI is the key for every section in the game , match AI, team & tactic selection, transfer ..etc
And agree managers are characterised differently IRL, Jose is defensive minded manager who ask his players to defend as team and he is good in mind games, while wenger is more into young players, playing fast direct football, while Anchelotti will go may be for experienced players or Sam Allardyce gonna go for more long direct balls with physical approach, …etc.
those attributes of managers should be available in CM to make managers in the game act more like they do IRL

yes indeed ChampAddict. from what i understand being in the FM2009 forum, AI does refer to Artificial Intelligence ie how the game respond in challenging us during the game. Do forgive me if i'm wrong on this... :p

I believe AI during matchplay would be enhanced compared to CM2008.
Not sure if adjustments have been made to minimise the risk of AI teams buying too much of one type of player, such as DR or ML.

Me too its oh so important that they get the AI good i mean it would be a delight when you realise that wenger had outsmarted you and bought better more consistent players and you really have to fight to win premier league and you cant do it every year cuz then the rival managers would start unsettling your team and really improve where their team has let them down compared to your team the previous season (like irl)
And also if u manage to take up a conference team to prem in the game.. if like ferguson or the likes ever manages a lower club that they also can climb the leagues like three four divisons more often than not just because of his tactical managerial and buying skills compared to andy hessenthaler or someone like that...:-)

I'd like to see this improved for 2010.
For example , Wenger buying young french talent.
Chelsea switching managers every 7 months ;)

Yeah I agree, certain tendancies from clubs/managers/board room members should be icluded imo. Certainly add realism.

I think managers should have a 'Gamble' attribute ..
The higher it is then the more they will gamble on signings
Such as Owen going to Manchester United
Agree?

agree as some managers do gamble more, and SAF sure is one of them, he had some bad signings but get majority right. And don’t let us forget how he gambled on kids at 90s.
like ChampAddict09 said, this tendency should be applied on all levels: club/managers/Board
this only what gonna assure us to have similar IRL experience in the game

 , Orbeton(sp) another

yes you are right
Orbeton financially is not a gamble, as he only cost 3m not like Douglas Costa who cost 20m?
But YES, it is a big gamble in sense that SAF think he can fill the gap of departing Ronaldo & Tevez. I was pessimistic when we got him, but seen late utube highlights of this guys, he has amazing speed and ball skills, and sure SAF know he can add necessary skills and improve him as a player like he did with Ronaldo with right training and guidance. Not saying he gonna be as good. But sure gonna improve a lot to become fantastic signing hopefully

Another attribute embeded in this is a kind of confidence , Knowing that this signing is a good one , not being put off by the media or fans ect.

absolutely right its almost as if they get some of these things right its gonna be fun just trying to become friends with other managers who gambles or go for experience and really feel as if youre competing against different managers not just a scripted cpu..if they get this thing right its gonne be SO fun just to play the game

Think back to the goal Owen got against Israel a few years back , he is a class player with a deadly eye for goal . Speed was a part of his game but not all of it , I am surprised the disrespect he recieves in this country but i suppose thats part of the British psyche knock people who actually achieve something and praise the people who fail .
