So i bought the game online 2 weeks ago. Now i didnt receive the email containing the link, yet i could see the download link when i logged in to my account and now i'm trying to download the game right now i'm downloading with a speed of 10 to 15 KB/s. (OMG now it 5.9Kb /s) and btw i have no connection issues.
If i go and download an illegal copy of this (via torrent, etc) i could easily go with the maximum capacity of my internet connection. So Could you please explain this problem please. and why i should wait.
PS:
I'm really really sorry about my topic but i am really upset right now
and right now it stopped downloading

Just be patient there are probably thousands of people trying to download the game right now. Mine maxed out my connection so just try pausing and restarting a few times.

Just let it run at 25kb/s and go to work or something? Have you given the DL manager permission to pass your firewall? Might be slowing it down. Also, you do know the difference between how a torrent works and how a direct download works yeah?

ofcourse i know and its in the exceptions list btw yet still slow. I wish the download manager of eidos could support that feature it would be easier for all off us right? and dont get me wrong the big picture is I'm dying to play the game :)

I downloaded at 9:00 am spanish time(GMT +1) and had no problem at all, I averaged 300 kb/s, it must be due to the amount of people downloading the game at the same time.

The main purposes of the download manager are to automatically include your license key with the download so that you don't have to type it in manually, and to allow resuming in the event of a problem - quite an important feature with a file of this size.
It also supports multiple connections to better utilise your bandwidth is possible, although I don't know if that's been enabled for the CM download.
Our Content Delivery Network is usually pretty robust and certainly coped with the demo download very well. That said, we are seeing a lot of variation in download speeds. It's possible the network is directing you to an underpeforming server. I'm not too familiar with how the nuts and bolts of the CND work, so I'm afraid I can't offer a lot more than that.
One other user on the forum has stated that they deleted everything (including the download manager) and went back to the shop to start again. Their speeds went from 15k to 600k. I've no idea how or why it worked, but it might be worth a shot if you're that eager :)
In the meantime, I can only appologise that you're having trouble and thank you for your patience and understanding

To solve this problem: Get Virgin Media Cable! The only BB that lets you download at max speed.
