Turkish Super League

Hi,

There is a slight change(!) in the Turkish Super League. Ankaraspor has been found guilty of exchanging and selling players to Ankaraspor illegally and has been condemned for relegation. I don't know how the federation is going to relegate the team and what will happen at the end of this year, but in the next few days, Ankaraspor will be completely removed from Turkish Super League and all the points won from Ankaraspor will be taken back from the winners(tiers). I will return with news, I just thought you oughtta know.

The last I heard Ankaraspor and Ankaragucu were talking about a merger at the end of the season, but this is the first I've heard of this.

I'm not surprised though as it's ridiculous they'd allow two clubs to be owned by the same person in the same league.

Ankaraspor has relegated from Super League because of abuse. So from 1st League instead of 3 teams, 4 teams will be promoted.

no. All the other teams will gain 3+3= 6 points automaticaly.

Will Ankaraspor just sit out the rest of the season with 17 teams in the Super League instead of the usual 18?

It seems like that. Every team will automatically get 3 points for their match against Ankaraspor.

And two teams will be relegated end of this year. 3 teams will be promoted (normally) from 1st league to super league.
