He’s a recent signing but I’m surprised he’s not been included in the September update. But just in case you don’t know, we’ve signed Papa Waigo from Fiorentina on a season long loan.

Rudi Skacel is ****e.
When did Papa Waigo sign? I thought from what I seen of him he looked very handy, certainly not a league 1 player.

The signing was confirmed by Southampton on 2nd September, and international clearance was received on 8th September.

How can Southampton who went in to administration afford to splash out on taking a Serie A player on loan? that is ridiculous.

The data lock for our day of release patch was on 2nd September. Al transfers were processed by mid-morning but unfortunately the Papa Waigo signing was announced by Southampton after our data lock.

Silly question perhaps, but will this be updated with the first CM live?

Yes. He'll be at Southampton in the first CM Season Live database.

Since going into administration Southampton has been sold. The new owner, presumably, has put funds in for the new signings. That people can do that sort of thing is the main reason why the league imposes a 10 point penalty for going into administration.
Besides Southampton sold more season tickets this year than last so the purse strings are a little looser thanks to that.

As said above, they have a new owner now, who has proved he is willing to splash the cash after giving Southampton £1m to spend on Rickie Lambert.
Papa Waigo is way too good for League 1, did well in Serie A when he played and could probably be a top player in the Championship.
