been playing as charlton athletic and yes i admit they have a strong team but not strong enough to beat osasuna in a friendly match and even got sam sodje sent off at like 60th minute and still hung on to win the match 1-0 but they were all over us!
has anybody had this situation before winning to a bigger team than yourself.
thanks for reading! ;)

Geez how old are you? All I've seen is you making negative threads slating the game. Stop playing and wait for the patch if it's hurting you so much.
Firstly as you said, it's a FRIENDLY. I follow Liverpool and they've lost to many Austrian and other lower ranked sides in friendlies..coz that's just what it is. To build fitness and test out formations/players. As you said..they were all over you. Maybe ur keeper had a blinder, maybe they were just off form and couldnt score on that day. It happens ALL the time.
In fact this thread is so dumb it looks like your just trying to incite a riot and get pple worked up. If that was ur intention, congrats, it worked on me.

I've won a few matches against bigger sides. You should get a good feeling of accomplishment when you do it, stop belittling your tactical mastery
P.S. he's 14 just look at the profile

Like Kons i'm a Red and also managing them i lost all my friendlys yet i'm top of the league and looking the favourites by far.. It happens in real life also big teams lose to small teams as they don't take it seriously.

I'm with waddle.. on this one, I think the abilities of the teams and the shot types / passing, scoring, etc etc doesn't play like the teams would in real life, I mean there's not much point giving the teams real names, real kits, real players, etc if they're not gonna act like the normal teams do?!
Valid points waddle, let's hope a patch fixes them. (Y)

If its a friendly then anything can happen, friendlys don't matter to big teams.

Osasuna should beat Charlton, but I wouldn't read too much into what happens in friendlies. :)
City beat Barcelona 1-0 in a friendly in pre-season, but I didn't go out on the streets saying we were better than the Euorpean Champions. :D
There's lots of factors in friendlies that determine them not being your 'normal' match (team/player instructions, fact it's the first game(s) of the season after a long break, team selections, etc.), I use them more as a way of getting players fit and trying out player/tactic combinations than seeing which team is best. I usually play friendlies against my reserves too for a bit of in-team competition. :D

Waddle
Given what people have said why is it so unrealistic?
Maybe you could have entitled the thread "Is this realistic"
Just becuase it happens in a game doesn't mean it won't happen in rl and visa versa. And if the game mimiced rl exactly, what would be the point in buying it?
One thing that I have learned in all my years following football is that nothing is unrealistic!!!
K...:)

it would be a bit unrealistic if they were playing like they do in real life all the time in the game because what would be the point in managing like a lower club if u wernt gunna have some shock results u would be stuck in same positions all the time in the table then and that would take the fun out the game. thiers nothing wrong with this game i got nothing but praise least u can acctually win games on this game
